Automated refrigerated warehouse for milk products
Olma S.A. is one of the market leaders in the dairy industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The varied product range that Olma supplies to wholesalers and retailers in both countries extends from butter, to milk and cream, through to yoghurt and refined milk products.
The most challenging of requirements in refrigerated logistics are met in record time.
For the Czech food manufacturer Olma, SSI SCHAEFER planned and realised a new automatic high bay racking system. The complete system was entirely realised using tried and tested SSI SCHAEFER components such as retrieval systems, racking, conveyor technology and the powerful "ant" warehouse management and control package. This also permitted a record time of just 11 months to realise the project.
The expertise and experience SSI SCHAEFER gained from similar projects enabled efficient warehouse operations without compromising the hygiene standards laid down in the Hazard-Critical Control-Point (HACCP) concept, as well as the temperature-controlled handling of goods. Contrary to previous trends in the Czech Republic of awarding projects of this type to domestic contractors, the decision was made in favour of SSI SCHAEFER thanks to the leading expertise of the company and the established trust in German quality products.
