Josef Witt GmbH is an international textile mail order company. It sells primarily women's clothing and underwear through 75 specialist stores, a mail order business and the internet.
Ergonomic workstations for highest performance
SSI SCHAEFER designed and realised a warehouse solution with groundbreaking features for the mail order company Witt. The integration of RFID technology into a warehouse solution based on the innovative SCS (Schaefer Carousel System):
25 SCS carousels with 38,000 storage locations achieve up to 6,000 inbound and outbound movements per hour. This task is performed with "ant" warehouse management software as the underlying IT foundation and the container identification is carried out using RFID. Acquiring and updating the data is done in fractions of a second.
The new and perfect interaction between the automation areas control, registration and flow of goods is a trailblazing model for innovative and future-oriented solutions in warehouse automation.
