The company, which is active worldwide and a leading manufacturer of filters, is recognised by over 80 classification societies. It specialises in the filtration of liquids and gases. The application-optimsed automated duplex and simplex filters are the result of in-house research & development and comply with internationally recognised technical standards.
Automated storage system and high-bay warehouse with joint conveyor system under one roof
BOLL & KIRCH Filterbau GmbH in Kerpen offers innovative and efficient solutions regarding liquid and gas filtration at 45 international locations. Increasing demand world-wide required a new central warehouse at the production location constructed by SSI SCHAEFER as a general contractor.
Special feature of the project: the 20 metre tall high-bay warehouse contains the pallet warehouse (three aisles) as well as the small parts storage (two aisles). The entire conveying system in the plant is designed to transport pallets and mesh box pallets as well as trays for storing small parts. The "ant" warehouse management system from SSI SCHÄFER is used connect and control the operations.
