Distribution warehouse for pharmaceutical products
As a leading pharmaceutical company, Darnitsa was the first Ukranian firm to take the route of automating its warehouse and logistics technology to be able to implement cost-efficient and reliable processes. SSI SCHAEFER accompanied Darnitsa on this journey as a general contractor from the planning phase right through to realisation. The central element of the plant is a three-aisle high bay racking system connected via pallet conveyor technology with automatic warehouse and material flow control.
A key feature is that inbound and outbound storage movements are carried out on three levels of the high bay racking. This way, the effective link-up of the inbound and outbound goods areas, the various production and order picking areas as well as the fulfillment of requirements for the pharmaceutical sector has been achieved in a very limited space.
