45 mintues between incoming order and delivery to the customer

On behalf of the traditional Austrian pharmaceutical company Kwizda, SSI SCHAEFER created a logistics concept for a 6000 square metre warehouse area, bringing order processing to the next level.

With the automated CFC unit forming a central part of the system and the highly efficient conveyor components, approx. 100,000 units are received and delivered daily. In the city of Linz, the total time between receipt of order and delivery to the customer is 45 minutes. Within this time, the highly automated logistics flow between incoming goods and dispatch takes just 15 minutes: The goods movements are registered via radio scanner during the transfer from the original packaging into the warehouse containers. The container identification and smooth transport, reallocation and registered storage and retrieval are facilitated thanks to a variety of integrated conveyor components.
