Fabricated inserts

It embeds workpieces with protection and is used both for the orderly provision in production and for careful storage in handling and transport. The special feature of the fabricated insert is that the container and the inlay form one single unit. The key element is the centering unit adapted to the precise contours of the customer's specific product. The precise container is manufactured as one piece in just one production stage using a plastic moulding process. No separate insert is required.

Lifting slots and centering holes support the horizontal and vertical with automatic equipment and robots. The vertical walls of the fabricated inserts with the corresponding ribbing provide the required level of stability. The smooth base guarantees fault-free running on all conveyors. On request, the container can be equipped with 4-sided label holders conforming to the VDA standard.

The individual containers are developed in close collaboration with the customer. The rapid development of products with the customer often requires simultaneous engineering. Often the customer is working on a new product, SSI SCHAEFER is developing a customised special container at the same time.
